16-Year-Old Program

16-Year-Old Program

Carter BloodCare knows that 16-year-olds can make a difference. That’s why we’re letting you make the biggest difference of all – saving lives through blood donation. Sixteen-year-olds can now donate blood. The requirements are the same as for any blood donation, but 16-year-olds must have a signed permission form from a parent or guardian. Contact your drive coordinator to make sure you can participate!

Things to Remember Before Donating

  • Weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good general health
  • If you have a tattoo or piercing you are eligible if done at a licensed Texas facility
